Look for information coming home in your child's folder concerning picture day. It will be Wednesday, February 25th. We were actually fortunate to get a morning time slot. We hope everyone has a wonderful week.
This week we finish the month with lots of fun and learning. Our book is Time To Sleep, by Denise Fleming. This cute book is about animals realizing winter is upon them and it is time to hibernate. Today we made caves with shaving cream and put the animals in them for the winter. Our letter is Y. Our nursery rhyme is Little Boy Blue.

We hope everyone enjoyed a few extra days at home. We have an extremely short week sooo here we go!!
Our book this week is The Jacket I Wear In The Snow by Shirley Neitzel. Our letter is U. Our nursery rhyme is London Bridge. Today we made snow with corn starch and shaving cream. The children played with it with plastic people and craft sticks. A good activity for you to do at home with your child that we are working on here at school is to practice putting on and taking off their jacket. This includes learning to zip and unzip as well as button and unbutton. Have a great rest of the week and stay warm! We are off to a fun start this week. We made a large heart for our classroom door with the children's hand prints on it. We also made a picture of hearts. We dipped cookie cutter hearts in paint then placed it on a sheet of paper. We made the hearts red, white and purple.
Our book this week is Valentine Mice by Bethany Roberts. Our letter this week is V. Our nursery rhyme is This Little Piggy Went To Market. Just a first shout out about pictures. They will be taken Wednesday, February 25th. We will remind you each week and send out info as it gets closer to the date. Have a great week!! We are starting the month off by continuing with our winter theme. Our book this week is Snowmen At Night by Caralyn Buehner. This is a cute story about all the things a young boy imagines snowmen do at night. Our letter is Z.
